The Bill of Rights has become the most important part of the Constitution for most Americans. Many people today don’t know the Constitution would never had been ratified without the Bill of Rights. Our Founding Fathers wanted assurance that individual rights were clearly expressed protecting each one of us from an over reaching tyrannical federal government. The 10 amendments comprising the Bill of Rights are not mutually exclusive. They are entirely dependent on each other. Weakening one of them weakens them all, rendering all of them useless.
